We want to send notification to cell phones by SMS for alarm events in CPAM 1.5.
We do not use and are not set-up for manned centralized dispatch.
The alerts are now sent by Global I/O and the cell service provider has email-to-SMS, so we can get the message out.
Unfortunately, the information string assembled and sent by CPAM exceeds the 160 character limitations of SMS. The location of the triggered device is deep in the string and truncated from received text messages.
Is there a way to modify the information included in a Global I/O notification?
Does anyone have other suggestions to accomplish the objective?
