Reader Decode Failed - Nedap Upass Reader

I  am running Cisco CIAC-GW-K9 software version 1.3.1(0.3.8), when I connect the Nedap Upass reader close to the gateway the Nedap reader works. When I connect the  Nedap reader about 35 metres away, I get a Reader Decode Failed.

can you explane a little more of how you're using the Upass reader and also which contacts do you use and type of cable you're using?

Assuming your cabling is the right gage, make sure the ground wire is connected. That has been the usual culprit for me.
