VSOM 7.12.1 video clips, can you open the smd files?

I need to pull all video for a specific date 24 hours, across 200+ cameras.  Pulling clips in SASD is going to take forever.

I can easily pull the native files using sftp /Media1, the files all have a .smd extension.  Is there a program that will open these files and/or convert them to an easily opened format?

Thank you for any help or suggestions.

.smd is likely a proprietary surveillance system format. Investigate manufacturer documentation for information on the format, supported players, and conversion tools. Try VLC, GStreamer, or FFmpeg, but proceed with caution and thorough testing. Consider third-party video players or your surveillance system's software. Always back up original footage before any conversions.
