Hi
we have a customer that has an RDS Farm accessible from the internet via an RDWeb/RDGateway portal.
They’ve installed Microsoft’s webclient to provide seamless signon using Chrome/Edge (only IE provides seamless signon with their activeX plugin fopr the classic portal) and also from Apple Macs
In the past Duo RDWeb/RDGateway agents didn’t work with the webclient. Is this still the case?
If it’s still not working, are their any plans to provide this functionality? More and more organisations are moving to the webclient now that IE is dead, so was wondering if this is now working?
Regards

Correct, the current Duo for RD Web release is still the one that does not support the HTML5 client.
Please contact your Duo account exec or Duo MSP manager (if you have one), or contact Duo Support to express interest in the feature request for RDWeb’s HTML5 client. Our product team uses feature request demand to determine what to support in future releases.

Hi
Does the Duo RDGateway agent work if I use the webclient?
A solution is to force authentication when the user tries to start a Desktop/RemoteApp rather then when they log in?
Regards
Ken

If you don’t install Duo on RD Web and only install Duo on RD Gateway then yes I think the HTML5 client could connect to RD Web and the connection to the session host or remote desktop through RD Gateway should send the automatic Duo push or call. I have not tried this myself.

I’ll give it a try
