Assistance Needed: Enabling L2TP VPN on Cisco RV345

Hello Cisco Community,

I'm seeking help with enabling L2TP VPN on my Cisco RV345 router. I've followed these steps:

  1. Logged into the router's web interface.
  2. Navigated to VPN > L2TP Server.
  3. Attempted to enable the L2TP server, but encountered configuration issues.

My current LAN subnet is 192.168.2.0/24, and my DHCP range is 192.168.2.100 - 192.168.2.149. I tried setting a VPN IP range outside this DHCP range but received a "subnet range error." When I use IPs from a different subnet, I don't get an error, but after clicking apply, the settings don't save and the fields go blank.

Could someone guide me on properly configuring the L2TP VPN, including the necessary routing and firewall settings?

Thank you!

Best regards,

FG

Hi Marce1000,

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, this did not resolve my problem. I have attached 2 screenshots showing my L2TP server configuration immediately before and after I click on the "Apply" button. as you can see, there are no errors before I click on the button and afterwards, the configuration is gone and its as if nothing ever happened!

I confirmed that the user group I have selected is permitted to use L2TP.

When I go to the VPN status section under Status and Statistics > System Summary, I can see that L2TP has 1 configuration and is disabled.

Any other ideas on what could be causing this for me or what I could check?

Thank you!
