C1111-8P upgraded to sdwan by mistake, how to get back to universal

I have a C1111-8P unit that I am configuring and learning at the same time.

The unit had firmware 16.12.01a

boot-start-marker
boot system bootflash:c1100-universalk9.16.12.01a.SPA.bin
boot system bootflash:c1100-universalk9_ias.16.10.01b.SPA.bin
boot-end-marker

stupid me, I upgraded to the sdwan image and to this specific version c1100-ucmk9.16.12.3.SPA.bin.

Now I cannot see the device in my network. I guess it has an empty config.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/configuration/sdwan-xe-gs-book/install-upgrade-17-2-later.html

How can I go back to the universal image?

---edit---

I found these instructions

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/xe-sd-wan-routers/214519-how-to-downgrade-router-running-ios-xr-s.html

are these still relevant or they have changed?

Small bump, anyone that can verify that this is the procedure?
