cisco 781 max number of devices

Hello:)

our office in japan has a fiber 1gigabit line from our internet company

and we have about 17 people in our office.

we have many devices hooked up to our switch

2 printers,  3 oscilloscopes,  4 laptops and about 20 computers.

and have 3 ip phones that share 2 channels.

we do not use that much internet

some of us surf the net and check emails

we just do not want any downtime

which router should i order?

im thinking the 781 will be good

Could you give some details on your connection?

Is it a metro ethernet connection?

Does the fiber line connect directly to the switch?

What switch are you using?

Are you able to access the internet currently.

What equipment does your service provider supply to you?

Is this connection directly to the service provider or is it connecting to another office, such as a headquarters office?

I believe you are referring to the 871 router am I correct?

The 871 would not handle the full bandwidth of the 1 Gigabit connection.

the internet does not need to be fast

it just needs to be stable

we have a modem that connects to a fiberline that does to the internet company

the router connects to the internet but not sure if it will be stable for 20 users

will the cisco 871 be stable for 20 users?
