We have about 50 Cisco RV042 routers. All are configured identically, except for changing the internal IP address, host name, domain name, and DDNS entries. I am having trouble with just one unit. I am assuming that it has some other setting also changed, but I am unable to find it going through all the setup screens. Here is what I am experiencing:
The IP address on the WAN port is set to 192.168.1.4. I cannot figure out how this is possible since that is a private range. The WAN port is set to obtain an IP address dynamically. The working mode is "Gateway".
Strangely enough, the VPN tunnel actually works. I obviously can't remote in to the device on the external port like I am able to on all other routers we have.
Does anyone have any idea how to get the router to obtain a real public IP address on the WAN port? I have tried release/ renewing on the router, and rebooting, but to no avail.
Thanks in advance.

You can get your Public IP Address thru www.whatismyip.com but for more information like Gateway and DNS you have to call your Internet Service Provider..they'll let you know everything..
on your RV042 Router, JUST fill WAN1 and WAN2 Details..your network will be connected..
Keep in mind that for example if WAN1 IP Address is 192.168.1.4 and WAN2 IP Address is also from same series that is 192.168.1.anything then you have to call Your Service Provider and tell them to change the ip address to 10.0.0.anything series...
Hope above information works for you..

Thanks for your input.
I found out what the problem was. This site had a Verizon modem/router combo that was passing (appropriately) a private IP address to the our router. I did not think we had any Verizon equipment at our locations. Everything is working fine. Thanks.
