Cisco RV042 Router (newly purch
ased) logged in and clicked "port management" and then "firewall"
and the admin interface locks up??? Any suggestions

What firmware are you running on the device? If your running the latest, try reflashing the firmware and see if your able to do the settings your wanting to setup.

Good evening, I am the customer who is working on the Router.
The firmware is up to date: 1.3.12.19tm
I tried re-flashing the unit and the flash loaded fine and router came back up ok.
As soon as I got back to the device I clicked "Firewall" and it locked up again...

troubleshoot this problem that you are experiencing.

We will try to do a basic troubleshooting but don't want to waste much more time on this router. Too much time burnt up already. We are seriously considering moving up to a Cisco 871 Router instead.
