Configure Cisco RV042G to enable local PXE Image Backup server.

We want to setup Acronis Backup Advanced as a Backup server where our PC can connect through a PXE boot image. However, for that to work, we probably need to setup the DHCP server to forward/point the required ports for the PXE server and bootfile, possibly TFTP server to the DHCP clients. In other words, the PC's we want to backup have to be able to find the PXE server when booting from their NICs. All we have installed in this specific network is a Cisco RV042G Router to work with. My question is, is it possible to set up this configuration on this Cisco router, or should we try to look for another solution?

Hello,

Im sorry you are having issues with your device.

What you can do is to setup a DCHP server on your network that can provide the needed options to devices when looking for an address as the RV042 does not have any way to add any options to the DHCP server.

I hope this helps
