i got another (see open discussion about logs) issue:
there is a linux box where i run an eggdrop bot and normally you do a Direct Client to Client CHAT (DCC) to administer it... now i had the same configuration by at least 2 years now and never had this problem; it happens that after establishing a connection to the bot, it can actually change from 30 minutes to an hour or so, the connection itself drops without reason. All i can see is that issueing a command to the bot it does not replies and a little after my IRC client tells me the DCC connection was lost.
Now, doing some troubleshooting i've seen in the "Conntrack" page that the connection belonging to the DCC magically vanishes from the table: i cannot say how long it stays up for sure, all i know is that at a given time it gets dropped.
I cannot say to be a guru about networking, but i'm not a noob and I don't know what's wrong with this router, but something really is.
