Hi all,
Could someone explain what the different DNS Server types on the DHCP Setup are and the impact of each setting?
Use DNS Proxy
User DNS From ISP
Use DNS As Below.
Will the local dns database always be used regardless of the setting used?
Thanks!

"Proxy" will cause clients to use the router itself as the DNS server.
"From ISP" will give you the ISPs DNS servers and clients will query those servers directly.
"As Below" will give you whatever you have specified, and clients will use those settings.

Hello Philip,
Thanks for your reply.
Will each setting still use the local dns database to check first if the entry exists in there or will the local database only be used with the 1st setting?
Thanks!

Only the "Proxy" setting will result in the DNS being used on the router itself.
