RV320 Opening Ports

Hi,

I have a requirement for a private IP address to be accessed externally via a port.

I am able to access the router externally for management using {fixed ip}:443

What i need to be able to do is access another device via {same fixed ip}:10230

I have:

1. created an entry in setup -> forwarding -> service management for port 10230

2. created an entry in setup -> forwarding ->Port range forwarding table for that service and the private ip address, and enabled it

3. created an entry in setup -> port address translation Selected the same service and the private ip address.

The port number 10230 is still showing as being closed when i scan it externally, and as such i am still unable to communicate with the device.

Any advice / help would be appreciated.

Hi Paul

I think you should specific the private IP to your device instead of router's IP, it may be thru creating iptables rule to forward traffic not opening port directly.
