Hello i have an RV215W

I want to configure internet access rules to block each user with desktop pc or wifi device.

i configured "schedule management" and "access rules" to create a list of deny computer

and after il configure "internet access Policy" with Facebook keyword for a test.

but all my computer and wifi device continue to access on Facebook....

If i block in "access rules" my wifi device or computer can't access on internet (all the website, not just Facebook....)

I continued my testing, and i can see, if i can go to internet in http it is block, but if the website is an https, it not block....

exemple Facebook use https and it cannot block (with url Facebook.com or keyword Facebook....)

but other website some fnac.com with http it block...

Do you have an idea ?

thank's a lot per advances.

best regards

,

From my understanding you are trying to block websites that open up under http or https. Most of our small business devices are only able to block http urls. One of the workarounds that i have seen work in your situation is to run nslookup to find all associated servers. Collect all the Ip addresses and  build access rules denying those particular servers.Hope this helps. Lets me know if you need further specific instruction on how to get this to work for you.
