I have two routers available: Cisco RV325 and Cisco RV042G, all have the latest firmware.
The first Cisco RV325 router has a 192.168.54.0/24 network, a static IP address towards the Internet and is connected via the "WAN1" port.
The second Cisco RV042G router has a 192.168.154.0/24 network, a static IP address towards the Internet and connected via the "WAN1" port.
A VPN tunnel is built between the routers:
Local Group Setup Cisco RV325: 192.168.54.0 255.255.255.0
Remote Group Setup Cisco RV325: 192.168.154.0 255.255.255.0
Local Group Setup Cisco RV042G: 192.168.154.0 255.255.255.0
Remote Group Setup Cisco RV042G: 192.168.54.0 255.255.255.0
The VPN tunnel works great. All devices on the 192.168.54.0 255.255.255.0 network see and have access to devices on the 192.168.154.0 255.255.255.0 network, and all devices on the 192.168.154.0 255.255.255.0 network also see and have access to devices 192.168.54.0 255.255 .255.0. With this, everything is fine and part of the task has been completed.
Now I have the following task: a device with IP address "192.168.154.5" (network on RV042G) must have access to IP address "82.193.96.1" and the entire network "82.193.96.0/24" (on the Internet) not directly through the connection to the Internet RV042G, and through a VPN tunnel.
Now it works like this: 192.168.154.5 --> 192.168.154.1 --> 82.193.96.1
And I need to do this: 192.168.154.5 --> 192.168.154.1 --> 192.168.54.1 --> 82.193.96.1
Using the guide https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/smb/routers/cisco-rv-series-small-business-routers/smb585-ipv4-static-routing-configuration-on-rv016-rv042-rv042g-and.html I tried to implement this using the "Advanced Routing - Static Routing" item in the RV042G router settings, adding the following routes:
Static Routing:
Destination IP: 82.193.96.0
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.54.1
Hop Count (Metric, max. is 15): 1
Interface: WAN1
I tried to implement this using the "Advanced Routing - Static Routing" item in the RV042G router settings, adding the following routes: 192.168.154.5 --> 192.168.154.1 --> 82.193.96.1
After adding the route, I also looked at the routing table and my added route is not there...

I came to the conclusion that the equipment needs to be replaced.
