Issues with Cisco Small Business Pro SRP527

Dear Support,

We are currently experiencing an ongoing issue with Cisco Small Business Pro SRP527. We have set up and enabled "Web Access Management" feature on many of our customers' site, but they have quite frequently lost the ability to be web accessed and require to be rebooted to regain the ability. The DHCP server seems to have the same problem as well.  However, during the period of being unable to log in remotely, the routers are still able to perform other features normally, eg. Port Forwarding,, etc.

In addition, we were wondering if SRP 527 is capable of doing "Ethernet handover"? We have noticed there is an option under "Switch setting", but is it required further configuration or adjustment to enable to feature properly?

Thank you very much for your time and kind assistance, we look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for using the Cisco Support Community.  Just to let you know, this is a forum where we all aim to help each other on a best effort basis.  If you need formal support, please ensure you are eligible and raise a case with the Small Business Support Center.

To your points below:

The first point is something that we are very actively chasing down currently.  The cause seems somewhat elusive at the moment, as it seems to occur frequently with some customers (like yourself), but rarely in any reproduction environment.  If there is any additional detail you can offer, please do so (either here or to my private mail box).

To your second point.  The SRP527 is able to failover between the main WAN interface and a 3G modem connection only.  For the SRP527 (and SRP526) the main WAN interface can be selected as either the DSL interface, or LAN port 4.  This is a static, either/or setting, not a dynamic failover option. If you choose to use the LAN port for the WAN, disable the ADSL interface from the switch settings page that you have seen.  Once you do this, the ADSL interface will be completely disabled.  The configuration will also be reset to factory defaults when you select this option (also when this configuration is reverted).

Hope that helps,

Andy

Dear Andrew,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. We are more than happy to provide more detail, but I cannot see your email address on this forum. Could you please email me your mail address to: Daniel@voiteck.com ? We have downloaded the config file from one of our customer’s SPR527, hopefully this will help to give you more information. Once again, thank you very much for your kind assistance, we look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Best regards,

Daniel Lin
