I currently have a subscription to OpenDNS VIP Home. Now that I'm using a Cisco RV345 to power my network, I likely should move to a Cisco Umbrella RV Branch License instead so I can gain access to the additional features of Cisco Umbrella. I have a handful of questions with regard to this migration:
- What would I need to do to move from OpenDNS VIP Home to the Cisco Umbrella Branch License? Just have OpenDNS Support cancel my OpenDNS VIP account and close out my OpenDNS account so I can create a new Cisco Umbrella account under the Branch License (I'd need to use the same email as my current OpenDNS account)? I already have a Cisco Partner I can purchase the Cisco Umbrella Branch License from.
- I'm currently using DNS O MATIC on the OpenDNS account so if my Public IP address changes, it pushes the changes to a dynamic DNS service and updates a domain. I'm currently on a Static Public IP, but it's possible I'll be changing to a Dynamic Public IP in the future if I change to an ISP that doesn't support Static Public IP's, so I'd need to duplicate this feature under Cisco Umbrella when making the move.
- What other features of Cisco Umbrella would I have under the Branch License?
- I have my iPhone and iPad set to have VPN access to the RV345. When I connect those devices to the VPN on the RV345, would that route my traffic through Cisco Umbrella, or is that only possible with the Roaming Clients?
