Problems with VPN

Dear support community:

We're trying to connect VPN between Linksys Cisco RV082 (Gateway) and Cisco RV042 (Router) on a lab setting. We're able the configuration gateway-to-gateway, but after to click save values, the ip address they change automatically.

IP 192.168.1.8 it’s change for this IP 192.168.1.0

Can you please help me find what's wrong?

Hello ,

       I believe the reason the IP address is changing is because you have a subnet mask of /24.  This would include the whole class C subnet of 192.168.1.0 so it defaults back to the network address.  If you are only wanting to allow 192.168.1.8 through the VPN from that site, try a subnet mask of /32 or 255.255.255.255 and see if the address changes then.  Hope this helps.
