Is there a way to shutdown (and make sure it has completely shutdown) a cisco router remotely? rounter is ASA 5505 and 3845.

Shutdown as in power the appliance completely down?
If you mean remotely reboot the appliance, then there are several methods and one of them is via SNMP. You enable this feature if you have "snmp-server system-shutdown" in your configuration.

no completely shutdown. I need it down since power to building will be off for 9 hours.
