RV 320 Loggin On Issue

I have an RV320 and want to update the firmware (currently on 1.4.2.22) but cannot logon.  I can access the logon page but my previous username / password were not recognised.  It did a partial reset (keeping config but resetting password) but the default username / password were not recognised either.

Do I need to do a full reset or what?  Any suggestions?

Hi sir,

My name is Puneet Sandel and I am from Cisco small business technical support center.

As per your query try using the below troubleshooting steps and see if the issue gets resolved.

  • Clear cache memory of the browser and restore the browser to factory defaults. Try using both the previous username and password as well as default username and password.
  • Run a nmap for the router's IP to see the list of open ports and try to access the router via x.x.x.x:y (x.x.x.x- Router's IP, y-open port number).
  • If the issue still persists check what is the status of DIAG LED on the router. In case it is solid red then try to do a reset on to the router by pressing the pinhole reset button for atleast 30 seconds until you see all the port lights flashing on the front panel of the router.(Router will go to factory default settings).
  • Once the hard reset is done try pinging the router's default IP (192.168.1.1) through command prompt and see if there are any packet drops.
  • Try to login via default username and password (cisco & cisco).

Hi Puneet

Many thanks for you quick response to my plea for help.  Your suggestions were really helpful.  I had to do a full reset but it solved the problem and I have now upgraded to the latest firmware.  Many thanks.
