So the customer already purchased the RV016. He talked to someone at Cisco and they told him there is a more recent version of that model that will run EV-6. He wants the latest version. Does he have to return the RV016 for another RV016 or is there a firmware update to get EV-6?

Thank you for posting. If you meant say IPv6 I would recommend replacing the router with the latest hardware version. The RV0xx series hardware versions 1 and 2 do not support IPv6 and I don't know if that feature will be added in the future.
