Hi, anybody knows if RV042 honours gratuitous ARP?. We are currently using a TPLink TL-R4299G as multiwan gateway. For HA we have a couple of web servers that use a internal "floating IP", when the main server goes down the secondary server takes ownership of the floating IP and issues a gratuitous ARP notification.
The router forwards outside web requests to the floating IP.
The thing is that the TL-R4299G doesn't honor gratuitous ARP, and it takes the router from 10 to 20 minutes to detect the change of server. In that time the web service is dead to outside world.
We would like to replace it with a RV042 v3. Anybody has experience in this escenario?. I've read that it's possible to delete a MAC <--> IP relationship using SNMP on other CISCO hardware that doesn't honor gratuitous ARP, is this possible with the RV042 also (given it was originally Linksys hardware)?
