I have an RV042 that intermittently loses its internet connection. I have adjusted the MTU properly which seems to
have helped. Before the MTU adjustment (changed from 1500 to 1440) the problem was every few days, and after it the problem
only occurs about once a weeks.
Firmware is current.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or have any suggestions?

What kind of Broadband connection do you have? If DSL, then MTU adjustment is typically used.

Cable connection.
Any suggestions you have would be appreciated, as there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when to connection drops.

This is discussed on the cisco.com web portal and MTU size is usually adjusted based on the ISP recommendation.

If you can put your PC behind the Cable Modem, and see if it has a problem with the connection, it will rule out the RV042.

Your not running a VPN connection are you? If so, make sure Keep alive and DPD are set correct and consistently.

You may also want to check your FW Logs to see if there is a type of traffic thats getting blocked or other unusual errors at the time you lose connection when you are using the RV042.
