I've been eagerly awaiting Mac PPTP resolution, but was surprised when last week's 4.0.2.08.tm came out and this is still listed as a Known Issue. Previous postings indicated that Cisco had resolved this and it is was in testing phase. Also, certain users were able to obtain a pre-release build with the fix.
What release is this targeted for?
When might we expect it to become available to the public?
Thanks... Pat

Firmware 4.0.3.x has fixed the PPTP issue with Mac OS and iPad. The release is supposed to address most of the known issues in firmware 4.0.2.08.
Hopefully it can be released not too far in the future. If you need the fix right away, please ring up the Small Business Support Center.

Hello,
anyone had luck with Cisco RV042v3? It's on firmware v4.0.4.02-tm (Jul 4 2011 13:30:56). Tried disabling Firewall, still no luck. If I set my iPad (iOS 4.3.3) to connect to wrong address, it says the gateway is not responding. If I connect to the correct IP address, the connection fails without any message on the iPad.
I can see this line in the log (with firewall enabled, rule for PPTP added):
Oct 4 12:02:12 2011 | ACCESS_RULE | TCP ipadIPaddress:20308->routerWANaddress:1723 on eth1 |
Any ideas? I had it working with Linksys RV042 before it died…
