RV042 - Multi-subnets does not route & default gateway inaccessible

Cisco RV042
Firmware Version:  v4.2.3.03

LAN IP Subnet 0:  192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
LAN IP Subnet 1:  10.30.161.129 255.255.255.128

Subnet 0 works fine (primary subnet).

Subnet 1 does not work at all, router cannot ping hosts and hosts cannot ping router, nor can hosts access the Internet.

I am assuming the default gateway address for Subnet 1 is:  10.30.161.129

Please advise.

Hello,

Correct, the default gateway for your second subnet should be the IP address that you assigned to the RV042G.  Thus, 10.30.161.129 is correct.

 - All host should have AN IP address in the range of 10.30.161.130 - 254 and subnet mask of 255.255.255.128

 - The RV042 will not do DHCP for a 2nd subnet.  Thus, you would need an external DHCP server or set the IPs statically.

Please give us a call at 866.606.1866 and reference your case number 635632321.

Best Regards,

Mike

Thanks and sorry I missed your call, but this configuration is not working.

I am using static IP address assignments. The problem is not resolved.
