RV042 PPTP user not able to access remote network via tunnel

We have successfully establish a site-to-site vpn on RV042  but we have some difficulties when PPTP users try to access the remote network linked by this tunnel. LAN users can access the remote network without problem, but users who are connected remotly to the lan (PPTP) can't access computer on the remote network. Is there a way to allow PPTP user to access the remote network ?

Hi VinishMilton1,

I suggest you look over one of our articles on the Cisco Knowledge Base here:

Configure Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) Server on RV016, RV042, RV042G and RV082 VPN Routers for Windows

The article covers the general overview on how to configure PPTP on the router side to the Windows side.

Also you might want to see if PPTP Passthrough is turned on.

Configuration of Virtual Private Network (VPN) Passthrough on RV016, RV042, RV042G and RV082 VPN Routers

Another avenue for troubleshooting is to check your firewall settings. If you're able to connect but can't access anything, it is because Firewalls do not accept inbound connections from anything other than their own subnet. It means you need to tell the firewall to accept request from the PPTP subnet or disable the firewalls on the resources (computers, servers, etc.) Advice sourced from Tom Watts in this thread.

Hope the three pieces of information helps in any way.
