Hi, My name is Eric Moyers. I am a Network Support Engineer in the Cisco Small Business Support Center. Thank you for using the Cisco Community Post Forums.

Unfortunately the RV042G does not support the Cisco VPN Client and I am not sure how you got it to work with the older RV042 V.

If the RV042G was supported it would list it in te Data Sheet like it does here in the RV320

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10907/ps9923/ps11997/data_sheet_c78-726132_ps9923_Products_Data_Sheet.html

I am sorry that this is not the answer you were looking for. but is Cisco VPN Client is a requirement the Small Business Routers that support it are the SA500's, ISA's, RV320 and RV325.

Thanks
