I have had a new RV042G for 6 months and occasionally the router disconnects from the WAN1 interface for no apparant reason.
error in log "NDS FAIL (WAN1)"
After a reboot the router run ok for a month before NDS Fails again... any thoughts??
Firmware v4.2.1.02
Hardware is V01 so can't upgrade to V4.2.2
I there any way to determin if this is a Hardware issue?

Andy,
The RV042(G) routers have Network Service Detection. It allows the router to check with an internet server to determine if the internet connection is up. If it detects that the link is down it will switch to the other WAN port.
If you are only using a single WAN connection you can disable NSD. Your WAN connection may still fail, you just won't see anything in the logs about it.

Hi Marty - Thanks
I have a single WAN connection so have reconfigured with the following settings
WAN 2 Disabled
Duel WAN Settings - Smart link Backup (Wan1 Primary)
NSD Disabled.
Hopefully that will sort it, Lets wait and see!!

Andy,
That should do it. Please let us know if you have further issues or questions.
