I own a RV082 (Firmware Version: 2.0.0.19-tm) that has worked great for me for years, but recently I have tried unsuccessfully to add a Swann IP camera system to it.
I have tried to open port 9000, and I scrupulously followed the instructions found here and on other websites, yet the port won't open.
I have assigned a static IP to the DVR (192.168.1.200) and have tried to forward port 9000 to it, after adding it to the service list under the setup>forwarding menu (it shows "SWANN [TCP/9000-9000]->192.168.1.200" in the port forwarding list).
I've read here and there that you should disable DHCP, or uPnP, and have tried it all. Nothing works.
Please help, as this is driving me crazy. Thank you.

Guillaume, I am a Cisco Engineer from the Small Business department.
Based on my experience I would recommend doing a factory reset to the unit. In addition, the firmware version installed on the unit is too old. I strongly recommend you to upgrade this to the latest one.
Click here to download the version 4.2.3.08.

Thank you for taking the time. The reset was done, but the 4.2 firmware upgrade wouldn't work. To the best of my knowledge, this router doesn't have the V3 hardware, which would be required for this upgrade (please correct me if I'm wrong).
No changes after the factor reset. Still no luck.

Please provide me the serial number of the unit.

DEZ006202180.
I managed an upgrade to 2.0.2., so I guess I'm halfway there. :)
Thank you for your help.

I am afraid that you have hardware V1 and the won't work.
Make sure that you are setting up everything from scratch - I found this article as reference click here.
I hope this helps.

Well, I've been doing that over and over, and it still doesn't work. I guess I'll get a different router. Very disappointing.
