Hello,
I recently upgraded our VPN router to a Cisco RV130 and configured port forwarding for our web server (used range method since others have noted issues with single port method).
WAN and LAN are IPv4, and the firmware is 1.0.2.7. DMZ is not used, and the DNS addresses are those provided by our ISP.
Offsite access to the website is fine, but browsing the site from a LAN computer is very slow -- but not impossible. The website log reports the private IP address of the gateway (192.168.1.1).
If I edit the HOSTS file on my workstation to map the site's domain name to the server's private IP, the latency goes away, and the website log identifies the private IP of the workstation (192.168.1.x).
I am uncertain why I can access the web server at all without editing the HOSTS file since I was under the impression that hairpinning is not implemented on Cisco small business routers.
Any insight?
Thanks.
