RV130W new firmware 1.0.3.51 bricks the device

Hello,

I tried to do online firmware upgrade on my RV130W from 1.0.3.44 to 1.0.3.51. However after upgrade and auto reboot of the device power LED started to blink rapidly and device became unresponsive.

I then configured my ethernet connection to 192.168.1.0/24 and was able to connect with the device via browser on 192.168.1.1 in firmware recovery mode. Unfortunately when I tried to upload the new 1.0.3.51 firmware there I got information that the firmware file is invalid.

When I uploaded 1.0.3.44 everything worked and I was able to use the device again.

So dear Cisco is your firmware 1.0.3.51 for RV130W a piece of crap?

I'm really sorry to hear about this experience. Did you compare the MD5 checksum of the file you downloaded to the one provided on the website?
