RV320 no connection to web management and for firmware updates

Hello,

I am configuring a new RV320 router. I have a PC with a static IP address of 192.168.1.100, netmask 255.255.255.0, and gateway of 192.168.1.1, and a network cable connecting the PC to port 1 on the RV320. The RV320 does not have any other connections (i.e. it is standalone on a table).

I opened a web browser (Chrome and Firefox), and typed in the address https://192.168.1.1. This times out. No connection.

I then tried to upload a new firmware image, following the instruction to turn off the router, press the Reset button, turn on the router, hold the Reset button for 10 seconds, and see the DIAG led solid red, and the PWR led flashing green. Then I tried to 'tftp' the firmware from the PC to the router, and I get an "Timeout occurred" error message.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Paul,

Hope this could help:

-According what I'm reading, please go ahead and do a hard reset:

--With the router only connected to the power ( no Ethernet cables) please click the reset button 30 sec.

--After those 30, remove the power cord from the router but very important you need to keep holding the reset button for another 30 sec.

--After that minute connect the power cord to the router still holding the reset button for another 30 sec.

Basically you need to click and hold the reset button for a minute and a half.

Once you finish the process keep the router on for a minute ( you might see red Diag Light), after that minute just power cycle the router (unplug the power cord from the router again without clicking the reset button but only for 5 sec) and connect the router again.

try to do a ping to the router IP Address 192.168.1.1

Try to access to the GUI with Username: cisco and Passwor: cisco.

I always encourage you to give us a call at 1866-606-1866 and we will be able to verify the warranty for this device.

Thank you
