RV320 router failover configuration

Hello,

I have an RV320 router with a WAN connection to the office LAN and a 3G USB modem for failover.

However the failover doesn't work well.

When I unplugged the cable to WAN it works as expected, the 3G modem take over within a couple of seconds.

But when I have trouble with overseas connection, the WAN is still up and the router doesn't switch to the 3G modem.

Is it possible to configure the router so that it ping a specific IP regularly and if the ping fails, it switch to the 3G connection?

Thanks.

The setting you need is under System Management > Dual WAN

-Select WAN 1 and click edit.

--Under Network Service Detection you can specify an internet host to act as the trigger for failover.
