RV340W Cannot Create PPTP using primary vlan

I'm using the firmware RV34X-v1.0.01.18-2018-01-11-16-54-26-PM.img

i can't create a pptp vpn server with subnets which are already in use by other VLANs, i need a vpn in the same subnet.

I've uprgraded from RV130W to rv340W, but so i can't work.

any idea to fix this?

Hi LorenzoGreco,

This is done by design for the RV340 so regardless of the available firmware versions it won't allow you to have a PPTP pool in an already existing VLAN/subnet. However, you should still be able to communicate with VLAN1, etc - have you tested this?

Hi Ktonev, i didn't try yet, but

if i have at "home" a PC or a Tablet or a Phone with primary LAN 192.168.3.x

an office with primary vlan 192.168.10.x

a vpn setted on 192.168.9.x

if i'm connected with a VPN  192.168.9.x and search for a pc with address 192.168.10.10 usually device use the primary gateway 192.168.3.1

it will be different if the pc is connect diretly with a VPN with the same network class of the office.

So i must to use gateway on remote VPN also to navigate

I hope the next firmware will resolve this, vpn on different subnet is ugly.

for the moment i go back using RV130W, it doesn't have two wan, but it is better for vpn.
