Good morning all,
Describing my setup: ISP router > RV345 > WAP581 > smartphones
I have 4 VLANs in place, but there is nothing special going on there - mere segregation.
There are firewall rules in place, cetainly. But they only enforce time constraints on the use of the VLANs.
The issue is that on the smartphones the Facebook mobile app, as well as the Instagram mobile app do not load content in an appropriate way. Placeholders are shown, but (close to) no pictures or videos ar displayed. Strange thing is that this only happens on the mobile apps. One of the boards mentioned that is due to a 'new feature' in iOS 14 using IPv6 for the mentioned mobile apps. On PC's there is no problem.
I've read tons of bulletin boards by now and there many suggestions pointing in the direction of issues with the configuration of IPv6, either on router side or on ISP side, or both.
So far:
I have fussed with multiple WAN settings >> nope.
I have set a rule on my ISP router that blocks all IPv6 from my ISP router to the RV345 >> no direct success.
I have allowed all IPv6 traffic to reach my end points >> nothing.
I have reset my RV345 to a working base config. >> directly after I had loaded my base config, the mobile apps were working. But then that stopped after about 5 minutes. Very, very odd! Although this does suggest that it has something to do with the config of te RV345, no?
So, does anyone else have a comparable situation going on? Or has gone through this issue?
If so, how did you solve it? Or what could I do to remediate these problems?
Thank you kindly for suggestions!
Michael.

- Some hints to start with : 1) Use the latest firmware on the RV 2) Have central syslog-server/collector and direct logs to it from the RV :https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/smb/routers/cisco-rv-series-small-business-routers/smb5416-configure-system-log-settings-on-the-rv34x-series-router.html
- Turn on all logging categories. Then compare device behavior when everything works, versus troublesome times. Check for log-pattern diffs in the logs and or indicators which may denote why things no longer work.

Hello Marce1000,
Yes, the RV has the latest available firmware and, in the current absence of a syslog server, all logging categories are activated and mailed to the mailbox that catches router events.
Unfortunately that does not help me a lot. Either I don't see what might be wrong or the information doesn't tell me.
Anyone else have issues with videos and images not being displayed properly?

Ok, It seems like I have gotten it to work.
Culprit for this situation was an active IPv6 DHCP-server in the default VLAN1. After disabling the IPv6 DHCP server in this VLAN, I again had normal responsiveness from both abovementioned mobile apps.
