Hi,
I have RVS4000 configured to listen to multiple IP on WAN side. For this to work my config is like this:
WAN
WAN holds the "routing" segment 11.22.33.44/31 of my public IP subnet
WAN IP static: 11.22.33.46
WAN gateway: 11.22.33.45
LAN
Lan holds the first IP of my public IP subnet 11.22.33.16/28
LAN IP static: 11.22.33.17
LAN subnet: 255.255.255.240
Everything else under LAN settings is empty.
Advanced Routing
Here I have:
Operation Mode: ROUTER
RIP: ENABLED
RIP Send Packet Version: RIPv2
RIP Rcvd Packet Version: RIPv2
So, practically I have LAN side configured with public IP and no NAT between WAN and LAN side.
PROBLEM here is "single Port Forwarding", for example:
1.) I have 2 mail servers behing RVS4000, so I want to open port 25 on 2 IP addresses...but I can't! Cisco says, that 2 rules of port forwarding are the same and does not accept one of them. Any idea?
2.) Some single port forwarding rules simply do not work?! Straight forwarding a port xx to xx works, but from port xx to YY does not...or it does, until I add another rule. Meaning, that if at some moment all port forwardings work, they may NOT work after I add another rule.
Any idea....except of buying at least 800 series?
