Just installed a 527W router. I am abble to get connected to the internet. I am using an imac and macbookpro.
For both wireless and network connected options I cannot get the max os software update to work. It does not reach the apple server.
The osx network diagnostics that comes up after the update failure message says that the network is ok.
Can this be a router firewall issue?
Same happens when trying to access itunes store from itunes, no connection to the store either.
Connecting the old router shows that both imac and macbook osx software update works again.

Followup,
DIsabling auto proxy detect in osx system pereference->network solves the problem.
Question remains why would auto proxy detect not work.
I've set proxy in dhcp on the router to on.
