SRP527W bridge mode

I have a fairly basic requirement to have a router (SRP527w) passing all traffic through to our firewall - so acting as a simple modem. We have an alocation of 2 static IPs from our ISP (Eircom Ireland)

I found and followed the guide "SRP Guide ADSL Bridge Mode.pdf" to configure the SRP527w and set the dummy IPs as per the doc and PPPOE relay etc.

On the external interface of the firewall (Watchguard) I then configured the interface to PPPOE and dynamic (also tried statically defining the IP as allocated by the ISP). Neither option seems work as hoped - either the firewall doesn't collect an address from the ISP or if it's static it shows the link as down.

The "link down" status on the watchguard is derived from the response of a ping to the gateway - which is where i think I'm going wrong. Given that I have configured the Cisco SRP527w to bridge as per the guide, what then is the gateway address to configure on the Watchguard firewall - the gateway address provided by the ISP or 192.168.15.1 the default IP of the cisco box (which is the address of the cisco port that the firewall port is wired to), or even the dummy 1.1.1.1 address?
