I'm experiencing an issue with some of our branch MX devices showing high utilization (over 90%), despite having very low traffic and no more than five clients connected at any given time. Here are the details:
Device Models: MX68
Firmware Version: MX 18.211.5.1
My concern is that we have branches with the same configuration, hardware, and firmware, yet some of them are facing high CPU utilization while others are not.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or have any suggestions on what might be causing the high utilization?
Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Did you by chance make any amendments to the WAN port? We have run into this known issue quite a lot:

To add to @JamesT91 feedback - IF you plan to open a support case, be sure to do so PRIOR to rebooting as once you reboot the data showing high utilization will no longer be available for support to digest.

Yes, I have identified some changes in the WAN port that match the time the CPU alerted high utilization.
Thank you!

Looking back through our ticket history we first starting running into this in November, so it has been a good few months already. ☹️

Mine is under MX 19.1.7.1 and after "disabling/renabling" IPS it didn't work , so that might be a different bug...
