2811 with switching module problem

Hi all, I have a minor issue I have one 2811 router with one 16 10/100T POE + 1 GE,IP Base module and one 9-Port Ethernet Switch HWIC with Power Over Ethernet. The router is up and running however I was hoping that the router would see the 16 port module and the 9 port WIC as one logical device however, as it is it does not. I had to assign an IP address to the gigabit interface of the 16 port switch and telnet into that switch. I'm deploying this at a remote site and I can trunk the two modules via crossover cable however that burns up two interfaces. Does any one know a way to get the router to see both modules as one

The modules you have mentioned are of different types and so they can not be made to be viewed as one componenet by the router.If the modules are of the same type then it is posiible.
