2911 router problem (not load Putty and Hyper terminal)

I have cisco 2911 router, this router not load putty and hyper terminal. my last command is confreg 0x3242 from rommon mode.

Hi,

Did u try conneting some other device on the same machine using console cable and check if hyper terminal is working? We need to eliminate if this is pc issue or router issue :-)

I( have the same issue and have tried connecting other devices but it wouldn't let me in. I have used Putty, SecureCRT, and Tera Term but its still the same. Meanwhile my Switch is working with the same console cable

You chose a very old discussion to adopt for your question. I suggest that you might have had more interest in your post if you had started a new discussion. But you posted here, so this is my response:

- if the switch works with that console cable then you demonstrate that it is not a problem with the cable. Which indicates that it is an issue with the router.

- if you connect to the router console and power cycle the router, do you get any output on the console? with the emphasis on ANY output

No output at all but I could see faded lines in a faded form just like the normally loading would have displayed.

I am not clear what you are describing. Are you saying a static series of lines that just appears all together and there is no movement? Or are you saying that some lines dynamically appear and change on the screen?
