2924 IOS upgrade question

I wanted to know - not having worked with the old 2924's are they similar to 2912's as far as upgrading the IOS?

I can get an old 2924 to test it but was wondering if doing it on a 2912 (which I have) would require the same procedure? I am doing an upgrade in the near future on 50 such devices (2924's).

The upgrade procedure is the same for all XL family switches.
