Dear All,
I have Cisco 3845 with ADVIPSERVICES-K9 IOS. This is SSL VPN router with SDM.
I didn't know that after the first login you have to change the username and password for next login. Consequently I am not able to login using the default username and password cisco cisco.
In order to recover the passsword I have tried to boot the system to ROM mon mode using Ctrl Break key and also Break key but the same is not going to the romon mode.
Kindly let me know how to boot this router to romon mode and recover the password.
Kindly consider this as SOS.
Thanks
Ashish

If the break or Ctrl+break isn't working then try this -
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps133/products_tech_note09186a0080174a34.shtml#topic3
I have a laptop with hyperterminal that just will not send a break sequence to a router but using the above method works for me.

Thanks Jon,
It solved my problem. I found that the USB to Serial converter in the laptop doesn't send the Ctrl+Break key sequence.
The doc acknowledges this problem and gives the solution.
Thanks again and hats off for you.
