Hello,
I would have a question regarding the MLS/MQC QoS .
We have a Cisco 3850, supporting two QoS Queuing hardware models at egress: 1P7Q3T OR 2P6Q3T (mentioned here page 66: https://www.ciscolive.com/c/dam/r/ciscolive/apjc/docs/2016/pdf/BRKARC-3439.pdf, and here: https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Video/qoscampuscat3x50aag.html )
In MLS QOS mode (example: Catalyst 2960, 3750), we can specify a specific DSCP to a specific Queue, in this way:
First:
mls qos srr-queue output dscp map queue 2 threshold 3 46
Then in interface:
Then we have the 4 queues ratios configured at the interface:
srr-queue bandwidth share 10 70 10 10
DSCP flow will have a bandwidth ratio of 70 (queue 2) in this interface
In MQC QoS (with policy, class and service-policy), how to assign a specific queue for a specific flow ? Example with 3850, supporting 1P7Q3T:
class creation:
class-map match-any MatchEF
match dscp ef
policy creation:
policy-map Example_1P7Q3T
class MatchEF
bandwidth 1000
How to, like MLS QOS mode, we can map a specific DSCP to a specific Queue (example: first queue of the 1P7Q3T model) ?
Or, if it's not possible, how the Cisco IOS distribute the classes flow to the 8 queues ?
The 1P7Q3T or 2P6Q3T name is not very clear, especially regarding how we can manage them from a configuration point of view.
