7206VXR Router not able to ping my laptop

Hey Guys,

I have a 7206VXR router and since an I/O controller is installed in it the console port of the NPE-G1 is disabled (usually the 7206VXR comes with I/O controller in behind and the NPE-G1 in the front , both has console ports but when the I/O controller is on the NPE-G1 is disabled automatically ).

so now i want to TFTP an IOS inside the flash of I/o controller ,

All set i have assigned an IP to I/o controller fe0/0 that falls under my network IP with the netmask, also i have assigned the default gateway. TFTPd32 is also set with my laptops IP as the remote host ID.

i am able to ping the router from cmd. But i am unable to ping my laptop from router(putty).

what might be the cause ??

network IP falls in 192.168.2.xxx

so i have set the routers IP as 192.168.2.150 255.255.255.0    fe0/0

default gateway is 192.168.2.1

laps ID is 192.168.2.51 laptop id as per cmd so this will be the tftp server (remote host).

all good?? but the router is not able to ping my laptop..but my laptop can ping the router.

since this is a traditional router should i enable something ? also tried with the remaining ports no LUCK..please help me here.

Dear,

Try to turn off Firewall on the laptop and check the Network services [ Network and sharing Center --> Local area network -->Right click - TCP/ Ipv4 -- > Install - Choose services and protocol and apply them and try ping again)

- Also try to ping 192.168.2.51 source F0/0
