Hello Prasanna,

Far End Block Errors usually point to a physical problem. The 'Receiver has loss of signal' output indicates that there is a problem at the provider end. You could try and reset your modem first, or switch the E1 controller to crc-4 (or toggle between CRC4 and no-crc4). Can your provider loop back to the modem ?

Regards,

GNT

Thanks for reply

The same provieder output when given to another as5300 the E1 int on that immediately come up.Framing type CRC4 or NO-CRC4 does't make any difference.

When local loopback is given the int is showing locally looped but is still showing as E1 0 is down.

Hello Prasanna,

you have slip Secs and fr loss secs in your controller output, try and change or toggle the clock source in your controller configuration, to something else than clock source line primary...

Regards,

GP

Thanks GP

Tried changing the clock source of E1 0 to secondary and that of E1 3(Configured as PRI) clock source as primary. After that the E1 0 is up but it is showing as cablelength is Unknown.Following is output

E1 0 is up.

Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced

Cablelength is Unknown

No alarms detected.

The E1 3 (PRI) is now working ok though it is showing following status

E1 3 is up.

Applique type is Channelized E1 - balanced

Cablelength is Unknown

Far End Block Errors Detected

No alarms detected.

When the dial up traffic is routed to E1 0 it is not picking up any modem from the bank.

Prasanna
