ASR9006

Hi,

I have a customer that is having an issue with an ASR9006 fan, below is what they sent.

We installed a fan tray this past Friday and it doesn't seem to be recognized by the ASR. I've included show commands below to show what is going on. The fpd pie is installed and active, however does not show ASR-9006-FAN-V2 listed. When running the hw-module fpd location command, the v2 fan tray type is listed as N/A.

The IOS-XR version is 5.1.3. Let us know if there is something we can do to rectify this.

Thanks.

Hello @EddieRodriguez9237 ,

>> The IOS-XR version is 5.1.3.

That version is quite old I remember having installed an ASR9006 with that version in 2015 and we needed to move to 5.3.1 for a bug affecting bundle interfaces in a cluster setup

So my guess is that you may need a newer IOS XR to recognize the FAN version 2.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
