ASR920 DHCP client

I see on a ASR920 with 15.5(3)S4 that the DHCP client stops requesting IP addresses after the expiry of the lease time when the DHCP service is not available (short lease time of 600s). Has anybody made similar observations? Is this the way it should be or does that seem to be an error?

Turned out to be a problem on the path towards the server. No issue on the ASR920.
