Force the router into ROMMON.

hi,

try to break the bootup and go into ROMMON mode.

manually boot using the current IOS-XE stored in bootflash or use an external USB stick.

once it normally boots up again, check the boot variable. ensure it uses 'bootflash':

boot system flash bootflash:<IOS.bin>
