Do Cisco supports BFD on demand mode?
If yes, from which IOS and which series. Its critical for some customer deployment.
Thanks,

Try the Feature Navigator at http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/

Thanks Collin for the link.
I searched and not found that feature. Can I safely say that this feature is not supported by Cisco?

I think Demand is more of Juniper terminology than an actually feature. I'm no BFD expert though. I did some searching around and it looks like there should not be a problem running BFD between Cisco and Juniper.

RFC 5880 describes regarding demand mode.In this mode BFD control packets are not transmitted between neighbors on regular interval, hence reducing control packet processing.
I was curios to find how cisco supports BFD demand mode and how to enable this feature.
Thanks,
Rupak

Is there a specific model of router you were looking to configure this on? We'll have to look into the configuration guides to see the options.

customer wants to know if this is supported in Cisco routers?
As per support feature they will go ahead with deployment.

From what I can find, it doesn't look like Cisco has this feature implemented yet. You may want to follow up with your Channel SE for verification though. If it's on the roadmap they'll be able to give you a release date.
